In the summer of 2025, we drove from Barcelona to Andorra and stayed at a fantastic hotel near a high mountain pass, with France just on the other side.

Andorra may be known for its winter sports, but we found a calm, peaceful place in summer. We hiked every day, with few people around, and it did not disappoint. What stayed with me most were the sunsets: storm clouds over the mountains and the light turning the slopes red.

It’s a special place, and one I’ll surely return to.
